According to Tran Thanh Vu, General Director of Vinagroup Travel JSC, the company has been trialling helicopter tourism flights over Ho Chi Minh City and the coastal region since 2022.

Flights will depart from Vung Tau Airport, with tourists able to choose from a range of routes lasting between 15 and 60 minutes. Options include panoramic tours of Vung Tau, trips to the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve, journeys along the Long Hai–Ho Tram coastal route, and flights connecting Vung Tau with central Ho Chi Minh City.

Ticket prices are expected to start at around 2.9 million VND (approximately 110 USD) per passenger for the shortest route.

Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, noted that the city has favourable conditions for developing helicopter tourism, from diverse landscapes and infrastructure to rising demand for unique travel experiences.

The Department of Tourism plans to work with businesses to expand flight routes and explore investment in additional satellite helicopter landing pads. These would connect prominent tourist destinations and integrate with existing waterway tourism routes, further enhancing the city’s appeal as a hub for innovative travel experiences.
