At Tuan Chau International Passenger Port and Ha Long International Passenger Port, two cruise services operated by Bhaya Cruises Company and Asia Premium Travel Group Joint Stock Company were deployed to serve tourists travelling between Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. Each vessel carries an average of around 40 passengers, most of whom are from Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea, the US and India.

Specifically, the Au Co 1 cruise operated by Bhaya Cruises will take visitors on the Ha Long Bay 3–Lan Ha Bay route as follows: Ha Long Bay (ports and inland wharves, Cua Van Floating Cultural Centre, Tien Ong Cave, Ba Ham Lake, Ba Men Temple, Ang Du, Kim Quy Cave) – Lan Ha Bay (Tra Bau, Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Trai Dao, Quai To, Viet Hai entrance, Turtle Islet, Cai Beo fishing village – Beo Wharf).

According to the coordination regulations between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong, the competent authorities will grant licences for tourist vessels to operate on four connecting routes: Ha Long Bay 3–Lan Ha Bay; Ha Long Bay 4–Lan Ha Bay; Ha Long Bay 5–Lan Ha Bay; and Ha Long Bay 6–Lan Ha Bay.

All of these itineraries are overnight cruises, with no day tours offered, allowing visitors more time to fully experience and explore the beauty of the two renowned bays—Ha Long and Lan Ha.

The two operators are expected to maintain daily fixed schedules on this route, contributing to the development of a stable, long-term inter-regional tourism product.

Relevant authorities, including the Ha Long Bay–Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, border guards, waterway police and inland waterway port authorities of both localities, have created favourable conditions for operations while strengthening management, ensuring security and order, strictly handling violations and maintaining a healthy business environment. Inland waterway port authorities are responsible for licensing, regulating and coordinating activities between the two bays to ensure efficiency, convenience and safety.

The official launch of this interconnected waterway route creates a new tourism product and realises the cooperation commitments between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong in preserving and promoting the value of the UNESCO-recognised World Natural Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay–Cat Ba Archipelago. It is considered a strategic step to enhance regional connectivity and reduce localised pressure on individual areas within the two bays, marking a new phase in linking heritage tourism spaces between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.
