They are all part of the 17 trains that will be imported from Japan to Vietnam.

After arriving at the port, the trains will be transported to the Long Binh Depot within the next ten days.

Each train consists of 3 cars, having a total length of 61.5 metres and a maximum capacity of 930 passengers.

After social distancing measures are lifted in Ho Chi Minh City, contractors will double their efforts to accelerate the progress of the project, whose completion has been delayed to late 2023 or early 2024.

The total progress of the project has reached 88.22%, of which the elevated sections and the depot have been completed to 94%.

The underground section from Ben Thanh Station to Opera House Station has reached 93% completion, while the underground section from Opera House Station to Ba Son Station has been completed to about 98%.
