The event was attended by representatives from central Party committees, ministries and agencies; the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee; members of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet’s family; and numerous scholars.
The conference was jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee. The organisers received 45 well-researched, high-quality papers submitted by central agencies, localities, and scholars.
Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet, born in Dap Cau Village, Do Xa Canton, Vo Giang District, Bac Ninh Province—now Dap Cau Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province. With profound patriotism, he was awakened early to the revolutionary cause, steadfastly overcoming all hardships and becoming one of the prominent founding leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr Hoang Phuc Lam emphasised that the conference was a meaningful activity commemorating the 120th birth anniversary of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet. It aimed to recall his vibrant revolutionary life while honouring and expressing gratitude for his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.
During the conference, delegates and scholars engaged in lively discussions, highlighting the profound contributions of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet to the Vietnamese revolution, focusing on three key areas: Hoang Quoc Viet as a talented leader of the Party and the revolution; a shining example of revolutionary ethics; and his deep ties with his native Province of Bac Ninh.
In her concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Council, affirmed that through objective and scientific approaches, experts and researchers had thoroughly analysed and clarified the life and outstanding contributions of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet.
Based on the papers presented, the organising committee will edit, supplement and compile the materials to serve research and communication efforts about Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet, thereby contributing to spreading the valuable spiritual legacy of this steadfast and exemplary communist.
