The project is part of the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, Japanese Embassy in Vietnam and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
JDS is a full scholarship programme, covering tuition fees, round-trip airfares, monthly living expenses and other allowances. So far, 751 JDS scholarships have been granted to Vietnam.
They are specifically for Vietnamese cadres and civil servants who are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
The deadline to apply for the JDS scholarship programme 2021, will be 5pm on February 7. Forty-five of the most outstanding candidates will be selected in mid-May and depart for Japan to attend the master's course, in August 2022.
Within the framework of the programme, during 2021-2024, JDS programme 2021 will offer scholarships for a two-year master's course in English with a variety of fields including economy, transportation, urban development, energy, human resource development for industry, healthcare/social security, agriculture, rural development, environment, adaptation to climate change and environmental disasters, strengthening legal systems and public administration capacity.
