The event saw the presence of Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan, who is also chairwoman of the KOVA Awards Committee, the committee’s members, and representatives from ministries, agencies, universities and corporations.
Four groups and eight individuals, whose scientific research projects have been put into fruition, bringing interests and economic benefits to the society and community, received the prizes.
The honoured groups are doctors and engineers from the Medical Equipment and Work Institute, under the Ministry of Health, the Long Phuong Technology Ltd. Company, the Binh Dinh Medical Equipment and Pharmacy JSC. and the Standing Committee of Women’s Association of Kon Chieng commune, Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province.
The awards also went to 16 outstanding students while KOVA scholarships were presented to 88 others from less-privileged backgrounds, including 17 ethnic students and 17 students with a deceased parent.
On behalf of the committee, Vice President Doan congratulated the winners and stressed that the KOVA Paint Group’s annual awards presentation has not only encouraged the creativity of groups and individuals, but also helped incubate the future for the country.
She expressed her hope that the Group would be further developed to grant more prizes and scholarships for the country’s talents in all fields.
Vice President Doan also hoped that the committee would consider army and public security groups, children of soldiers on duty at sea and on islands, as well as members of the Vietnam Intellectual Women's Association.
On this occasion, the State official expressed her gratitude to international individuals and businesses for their support to the KOVA Paint Group and the KOVA Scholarship Fund.
