At Lien Khuong airport, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Tran Hong Thai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Pham S and leaders of Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism welcomed the 10 millionth tourist, Mr. Nguyen Dang Dung, from Hanoi.
This event is an important milestone for Lam Dong tourism, affirming the strong attraction of the land of thousands of flowers, Da Lat, along with other attractive destinations of the highland region for domestic and international tourists.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Hong Thai affirmed that this is a very meaningful event for Lam Dong province, a clear demonstration of the remarkable development of the tourism industry. At the same time, it affirmed the province’s continuous efforts in building and promoting the image of Da Lat-Lam Dong tourism to domestic and international friends.
Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed that in 2024, the province welcome 10 million visitors, an increase of 15.6% compared to 2023. Of which, international visitors were more than 600,000, an increase of 50% compared to 2023; Overnight visitors were about 7.6 million, up 13.4% compared to 2023. Tourism revenue was estimated at about 18 trillion VND.
