This information was announced at a press conference held by representatives of the Provincial People's Committee, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, and the An Giang Provincial Trade and Investment Promotion Centre on December 10.
The forum was co-organised by the An Giang Provincial People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, with the support of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities of Ben Tre, Can Tho, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, and Vinh Long.
The forum will feature the participation of nearly 1,000 delegates, guests, senior leaders, experts, domestic and international enterprises, and reporters from press and media agencies.
Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, hopes that this forum will be an opportunity to realise the determination to cooperate with the whole region with Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country, thereby introducing the potential and advantages under the approved planning of An Giang Province to domestic and foreign investors, promoting regional linkages and the support of the Central Government to invest in economic development of the province in particular and the whole region in general.
Mekong Connect 2024 will focus on three key areas: economics, trade, and technology. Activities at the forum will promote linkages between Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta, towards green and sustainable development in the new competitive context.
Mekong Connect not only provides a place for ideas and initiatives to converge, but is also a space for localities, businesses, experts and policy makers to discuss and propose practical solutions to promote sustainable development for the entire region.
This is not just an event, but a journey to create the future, where everyone joins hands for long-term prosperity.
