The MOIT asked industry associations to review existing difficulties and propose solutions to ensure the export growth target for 2026 will still be met.
According to the MOIT, the conflict in the Middle East has led many countries to close their airspace, while some shipping lines have temporarily suspended operations or been forced to alter their transport routes.
These developments may affect logistics activities, transport costs, and the pace of international trade.
In order to respond proactively and ensure the implementation of the 2026 export turnover growth target, the Agency of Foreign Trade has requested associations to coordinate in carrying out several tasks.
Specifically, industry associations are asked to review and assess the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on the import-export situation in each sector, and to identify potential difficulties and obstacles that may arise in the coming period.
At the same time, they are encouraged to propose solutions to remove bottlenecks, promote exports, and seek alternative sources of raw materials where necessary.
Information from the associations will be used as a basis for implementing appropriate plans and solutions to support businesses and exporters.
The agency said it will continue to coordinate with associations and enterprises to closely monitor market developments and proactively respond to fluctuations in international trade amid the increasingly uncertain global geopolitical situation.
