The money will be handled by the Hanoi Radio and Television in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and local authorities in constructing construction of safe learning facilities for children in Nu Village in Phuc Khanh Commune, Bao Yen District, Lao Cai Province, and some other landslide and flood-affected areas in mountainous and midland provinces.

The money will also be used to install clean water systems for people in areas affected by storms and floods.

The art programme featured songs and dances praising the tradition of solidarity, mutual support and compassion of the Vietnamese people, particularly during the country’s difficult periods of time.

The performances were brought to the stage by singers Dong Hung, Nam Tuoc, Y Garia Enuol and members of the Dong Thoi Gian Orchestra and Ha Noi Tre dance troupe.

Through the programme, the organisers aimed to turn music into a bridge connecting millions of hearts of Vietnamese people, calling on them to join hands to support recovery efforts by residents in the northern areas hit by Typhoon Yagi.
