Nearly 1.39 trillion VND registered as relief aid for flood victims via central relief committee

Nearly 1.39 trillion VND (52.6 million USD) in cash and kind donations had been registered through the Central Relief Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee by November 19, to assist residents in provinces affected by recent storms and floods.

The VFF Committees at all levels have so far mobilised more than 2.6 trillion VND to support communities affected by consecutive storms and floods.

To date, the Central Relief Committee has allocated funds in seven rounds, disbursing 598.18 billion VND for 21 provinces and cities, including Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Gia Lai, Bac Ninh, Dak Lak, Phu Tho, Son La, Hai Phong, Hung Yen and Dien Bien.
