Nhan Dan Newspaper Editor-in-Chief presents gifts to air defence officers and soldiers ahead of Tet

A delegation of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper led by Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Company 28, Regiment 218, Division 361, under Vietnam’s Air Defence and Air Force, on January 25 ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival.

Speaking at the event, Minh, who is a member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, affirmed that as a major Party’s newspaper, Nhan Dan always considers reporting news on the army and air defence-air force as one of its important tasks.

He expressed his hope that army-run units will continue coordinating with the press and Nhan Dan Newspaper so that information on their activities and achievements will be updated to the public.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Van Minh, Political Commissar of Regiment 218, expressed his thanks to Nhan Dan Newspaper for their special attachment to the unit, saying that it is a huge source of encouragement for officers and soldiers in performing their assigned tasks.

The same day, Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh led the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation, paid pre-Tet visits to the Vietnam War Veteran’s Association and the Department of Internal Political Security under the Ministry of Public Security.
