The award ceremony was held on November 5 at the Hanoi Opera House, by the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission, the Central Steering Committee for External Information Service, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and their partners.
Within four months after its launch, the awards received 1,172 entries, an increase of 11% compared with last year and the highest number among its previous editions so far.
The works were presented in 14 languages, with about 200 of them being in foreign languages. Around 70 submissions are written by foreigners and Vietnamese people abroad.
The jury awarded 112 prizes including 10 first, 21 second, 30 third, and 51 consolation prizes. At the award ceremony, the organisers also paid special tribute to the “Vietnamese fan community in the 31st SEA Games”, who made an important contribution to the success of the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam and helped introduce to the world an image of a beautiful, safe, friendly and hospitable Vietnam.

Addressing the ceremony, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, hailed the high sense of responsibility of the organisers and congratulated the awards’ winners.
He stressed that the winning works of external information have made significant contributions to inspiring people’s aspirations to develop their motherland, promoting patriotism, and consolidating the great national unity while advertising the land, people and culture of Vietnam, to the world.
He called for more innovations to conduct external information activities more creatively and effectively, emphasising that those working in the sector must be deeply aware of the country's position and prestige, as well as the regional and global situation, to further popularise policies, guidelines, land, people, and culture of Vietnam, to the international community.
He added, that they need to prove their pioneering role and make more breakthroughs in external information through digital transformation.
