The ceremony saw the presence of Chairman of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung; Secretary to the Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Nguyen Huy Dong; Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao; Deputy Political Commissar of the People's Navy Pham Van Luyen; and Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnamese Military Zone 2, Major General Tran Ngoc Tuan; among others.
Representatives from Nhan Dan Newspaper included Editor in Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communications and Education Commission and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Thuan Huu; in addition to Deputy Editors in Chief: Le Quoc Khanh, Dinh Nhu Hoan and Que Dinh Nguyen.
Addressing the ceremony, Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Deputy Editor in Chief Le Quoc Khanh said that the presentation of Nhan Dan Tet issues is an annual event of the newspaper which has been carried out over the past nine years.

This is a meaningful spiritual gift that Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with sponsors wished to present to soldiers who will welcome Tet far away from their home to take on their duty of protecting the border, sea and island areas of the country, Khanh noted.
This year, Nhan Dan will present a book featuring public sentiments towards Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and 50,000 copies of Nhan Dan Tet issues to military units for soldiers on duty in remote areas of the country, according to the Nhan Dan Deputy Editor in Chief.
The book entitled "General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, with affection from the country's people and international friends" was compiled by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House. It was officially introduced to readers on June 20, 2019.
At the ceremony, Nhan Dan Editor in Chief Thuan Huu and Chairman of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung handed over books and Nhan Dan Tet issues to Colonel La Van Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy Zone 4, who represents the tens of thousands of navy soldiers of Navy Zone 4.
Books and Nhan Dan Tet issues were also presented to representatives of military units and libraries nationwide.
