The exhibition, which runs from October 9-13, will recreate vivid images of ten important milestones in the process of liberation and the takeover of the capital city by the Vietnamese army and people in October 1954.

In addition, with augmented reality glasses, visitors can experience stunning high-definition images of Hanoi in 3D space, similar to viewing the scenic spots in real life with their naked eyes.

The featured landmarks of Hanoi include Hoan Kiem Lake, the Temple of Literature, the One-Pillar Pagoda, the Hanoi Flag Tower, Long Bien Bridge and the Hanoi Opera House.

Besides enjoying the experience of the large model of the Hanoi Flag Tower at Nhan Dan’s headquarters in Hanoi, readers can also create smaller models of the flag tower by cutting and folding a page from the supplement to Nhan Dan’s daily edition published on October 10.

Readers can interact with the model through three QR codes, and each will land them on a specific page about Hanoi within Nhan Dan Newspaper’s ecosystem.

The supplement will be distributed free of charge at Nhan Dan’s headquarters in Hanoi, as well as its offices in 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

As part of its special coverage on the liberation of Hanoi, Nhan Dan also launched a project entitled “One Person, One Puzzle Piece”, where readers submit their photos to create a large mosaic image of the Hanoi Flag Tower, which will be made public on October 10.

According to Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh, the interactive exhibition, the supplement and the mosaic project are Nhan Dan’s efforts in its digital transformation process, combining the print newspaper with technology to offer a new experience to the public, especially young readers.
