Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, along with representatives of central ministries and agencies and leaders of Ha Tinh Province, also attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and other members of the delegation offered incense and laid wreaths at the National Memorial Stele dedicated to more than 4,000 fallen youth volunteers nationwide.
They also paid tribute at the graves of the 10 heroic female youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives at Dong Loc T-Junction.
The Prime Minister and others conveyed their deep appreciation and solemn remembrance of those who gave their youth for the cause of national independence and freedom. They pledged to carry forward the traditions of previous generations, strive with determination and unity, fulfil their assigned duties with excellence, and contribute to building an ever more prosperous and thriving nation, steadily advancing into a new era.
