The Red Star Awards – Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs are noble awards of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Viet Nam Youth Federation Central Committee, and the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, presented to excellent young entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the country’s socio-economic development.
Red Star Awards — A symbol of Vietnamese aspiration
Established in 1999, at a time when society’s view of entrepreneurs was still full of prejudices, the Red Star Awards were a bold and visionary initiative. The awards not only recognise business achievements but also honour the spirit of dedication, innovation, and service to the nation of generations of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs.
From the first ten Red Star winners who directly received the award from late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu in 1999, through the 13 editions to the present day, the Red Star Awards – Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs have selected and honoured more than 600 outstanding young entrepreneurs, including 127 who have been granted the Red Star Award. They are pioneers in many sectors such as industry, trade, agriculture, finance, technology, and clean energy.
Many of them are now leading major Vietnamese enterprises, creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of employees, with total assets worth trillions of VND and annual revenues reaching hundreds of trillions of VND. These figures are not merely numbers, they represent the vitality, intellect, and resilience of Viet Nam in a market economy. “Red Star is not just a title or an award, it is a spirit — the spirit of daring to be different, to serve, and to dedicate,” shared Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association.
