In the role of NA deputies, the typical children also reflected the wishes and aspirations of young voters across the country, engaging in discussions on how to ensure children's healthy and creative interactions in cyberspace, and the prevention and control of accidents, injuries, violence and abuse against children.
This year, the "Children's National Assembly" hypothetical session will focus on discussing and giving opinions on two topics: “Preventing and combating school violence, creating a safe environment for children” and “Preventing and controlling the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants in the school environment”. These are all “hot” topics in society at present, significantly affecting the lives, studies, thoughts and feelings of children.
From the success of the first session, in recent times, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union continued to coordinate with the NA Committee for Culture and Education and NA Office to deploy the second "Children's National Assembly" hypothetical session, with many new points. Notably, the selection of delegates was methodically conducted on a scale from the grassroots to the Central level.
The Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union said that out of 358 nominations from the grassroots Vanguard Children's Union and 104 self-nominations from children, the Organising Committee selected 297 outstanding children and 10 outstanding representatives in various fields to participate in the second meeting. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union and localities have organised many training programmes for the delegates.

For delegates in general and delegates of junior high and high school students in particular, the session is a special experiential educational activity, an opportunity to cultivate necessary knowledge about the country's major political activities to orient career development, gradually orienting themselves in the future.
As in the first organisation, this year's session will close with adopting the Resolution, the report of the delegates' recommendations on the current situation and solutions on the two topics mentioned.
The discussion opinions of delegates at the "Children's National Assembly" hypothetical session, especially the Resolution of the hypothetical session, will be the basis for the National Assembly, the Government and departments, branches and organisations to study, absorb and have better preparation in the process of promulgating policies and laws on issues related to children.
