With five matches remaining this season, Al-Nassr remains second in the league, three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad having played a game more than their rivals.

* Karim Benzema scored a first-half hat-trick as Real Madrid recovered from a disappointing midweek loss at Girona by beating lowly Almeria 4-2 at home in LaLiga on Saturday. With six-games remaining, second-placed Real maintained their slim title hopes by moving up to 68 points, cutting Barcelona's lead to eight points.

* Brentford deepened Nottingham Forest's relegation worries with a 2-1 home win after Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva scored late second-half goals to leave the visitors a point above the drop zone. The result leaves Forest in 17th with 30 points, above Leicester City in 18th and 19th-placed Everton (28 points).

* Crystal Palace scored three rapid-fire goals in the first half and then held on to beat West Ham United 4-3 in a full-throttle thriller on Saturday, lifting them further away from the Premier League's relegation zone.

* Brighton & Hove Albion crushed a woeful Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, with Deniz Undav, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck all scoring two each.

* Union Berlin played out a goalless draw with visiting Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday to hang on to third place with four games left but put their Champions League spot at risk. The result benefited neither team with Union remaining third on 56 points but Freiburg joining them after their 1-0 win at Cologne.

* AS Roma and AC Milan shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday after a stoppage-time goal by visiting winger Alexis Saelemaekers cancelled out a Tammy Abraham strike three minutes earlier as the Serie A top-four race intensifies. Milan remain fourth in the standings, level on 57 points with Roma in fifth.

* Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took pole position in Baku for the third year in a row at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Friday (Apr 28) with a scorching lap that ended Red Bull's run of qualifying domination. The pole, in a session twice red-flagged early on due to crashes, was Ferrari's first of the Formula One season after Red Bull had qualified fastest in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

* Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos has outbid a Qatari group led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani in the battle to buy Manchester United, The Times reported on Saturday, citing sources. Ineos is the only bidder to have valued the club higher than 5 billion pounds ($6.29 billion), the report added.

* The Women's World Motorcycling Championship, which aims to broaden women's access to motorbike racing and create a platform for female riders, was introduced by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) on Saturday. The FIM and Dorna Sports project will have its initial series in 2024 and will run primarily alongside the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

* England beat a spirited France 38-33 to win their fifth straight women's Six Nations title with a Grand Slam in front of a record-breaking crowd at Twickenham on Sunday to give coach Simon Middleton a fitting farewell.
