In his opening remarks, Vladimir Murashkin, Director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Viet Nam, said that the event was organised on the occasion of Russia Day (June 12), and also introduced the ARTEK International Children’s Summer Camp, one of the beneficial educational and exchange activities organised by the ARTEK International Children’s Centre.
According to Murashkin, this is not only an opportunity to celebrate the cultural, historical values and achievements of Russia, but also a chance to connect the younger generations of different countries through exchange, learning, and experience.
Emphasising the role of youth in the future, Vladimir Murashkin expressed his belief in the creativity and aspirations of the younger generations, affirming that young people are the builders of the future and every idea and dream of young people will contribute to the development of the community.
Meanwhile, Panchenko Raisa, Head of the ARTEK International Children’s Summer Camp programme said having been established and developed for 100 years, ARTEK is known as a comprehensive educational environment for young people.
This is a place where children from many countries have the opportunity to meet, learn, experience different cultures, and build friendships regardless of geographical boundaries. To date, the centre has welcomed nearly 2 million children from 123 countries and territories, with approximately 55,000 children participating each year.
According to her, ARTEK aims to nurture creativity, leadership skills, and global citizenship awareness in the younger generation. For Vietnamese students, this is not only an opportunity to access an international educational environment and interact with friends from around the world, but also contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and continuing the traditional friendship between the people of Viet Nam and the Russian Federation.
