Following the excitement generated by the opening night of DIFF 2026, the second competition night, themed “Heritage”, featured a showdown between Viet Nam’s reigning runner-up team Z121 Vina Pyrotech and France’s highly accomplished newcomer Lux Factory POK 2.0.
The French team told the story of heritage through their performance entitled “Heritage – Da Nang Shines”, using a cinematic and multi-layered fireworks language to recreate the cultural strata formed through different historical periods, as well as Da Nang’s beauty on its journey towards international integration.
Despite being newcomers, the French team made audiences surprise, transforming Da Nang’s sky into a mesmerising stage of light.
Multicoloured titanium-tail fireworks, soft falling-leaf effects and cascading glittering waterfalls across the night sky created layered visual imagery reminiscent of cultural sediment built up over time.
The climax of the French team’s performance came as bursts of golden fireworks erupted simultaneously, illuminating the Han River.
With the theme “Heritage”, Viet Nam’s Z121 Vina Pyrotech affirmed the class of the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2025, delivering fireworks performances rich in Vietnamese heritage values, familiar imagery and strong national identity.
A special highlight of Viet Nam team’s display was the recreation of the palm tree — a symbol of the ancestral land of Phu Tho Province — through modern fireworks technology.
Da Nang’s sky also burst into brilliant fireworks to the melody of “Noi vong tay lon” (Joining Hands in Unity), accompanied by enthusiastic singing and continuous applause from the audience.
Enhancing the artistic experience, the second competition night of DIFF 2026 also treated audiences to a “grand music festival” along the Han River, featuring performances by many renowned artists.
The third competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 under the theme of “Culture” will take place on the evening of June 13 .
