The event, co-organised by the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and Vietnam Television, provided a forum for experts, journalists, and leaders of press agencies, to discuss the current orientations of applying AI in content creation in multi-platform journalism while identifying opportunities and challenges facing journalism when AI enters the newsroom.
Speaking at the event, Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, stressed that digital transformation has been an inevitable trend in most socio-economic fields today.
Minh, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, emphasised that journalism must take the lead in the national digital transformation, by actively innovating its operation and bringing new experiences to readers, through digital technology solutions.
Discussions at the seminar focused on the application of AI in content creation in multi-platform journalism, virtual assistance testing in newsroom management and organisation, and the AI chatbot phenomenon ChatGPT.
