The ambassador reiterated that Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and career have left a profound mark on Viet Nam’s history and have become a great source of inspiration for national liberation movements worldwide, especially in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Addressing the event, Professor Dr. Omar Edmundo, Chairman of the National Historical Research Centre, hailed Ho Chi Minh’s ideology as a comprehensive and profound system of views on the fundamental issues of the Vietnamese revolution.
It was the fruit from the creative application and development of Marxism-Leninism to Viet Nam’s specific conditions, while inheriting and developing the nation’s fine traditional values and absorbing the quintessence of human culture, he stressed.
He affirmed that Ho Chi Minh’s ideology continues to serve as the guiding compass for the Party, State, and people of Viet Nam to achieve glorious victories in the new era—the era of the nation’s rise.
For her part, Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tatiana Pugh stated that President Ho Chi Minh was not only a brilliant thinker and great politician but also an outstanding cultural figure.
