* Spanish MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales and Yamaha parted ways with immediate effect on Friday with British rider Cal Crutchlow drafted in as a replacement at the factory team for his home round at Silverstone next week. * Arsenal have signed Norway international Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent deal, the Premier League club said on Friday (Aug 20). The midfielder spent the latter half of last season on loan at Arsenal, making 20 appearances in all competitions and scoring twice. Arsenal did not reveal details of the transfer but British media reported they had agreed to pay around £30 million to sign the 22-year-old on a four-year contract.
* Saudi Arabia will host the final of this year's Asian Champions League on Nov. 23, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed on Friday. No venue city has been announced, but the quarter-final and semi-final matches involving teams from the west of Asia - due to be held on Oct. 16 and 19 respectively - will also be played in the Gulf state.
