A flight coded VN88 of Vietnam Airlines, is expected to take off on March 7, to carry 283 citizens from Bucharest, Romanina and land at Noi Bai Airport on March 8.
Another flight coded QH9066 of Bamboo Airways, will depart from Warsaw, Poland on March 9, to bring 270 Vietnamese citizens to Noi Bai Airport on March 10.
Vietnamese returning home on these flights will be tested for COVID-19 after landing in Vietnam and will be guided to implement medical quarantine measures.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to evacuate Vietnamese people from dangerous areas in Ukraine to neighbouring countries and bring them home depending on the situation.
According to information from representative agencies, as of 19:00 on March 5, more than 2,000 Vietnamese people had been evacuated from Ukraine and relocated to neighbouring countries, including more than 1,000 people in Poland, 370 in Romania, 200 being brought from Moldova to Romania, 190 in Hungary and more than 40 in Slovakia.
