Gifts presented to the poor ahead of Lunar New Year festival

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Fatherland Front Committee presented gifts to 85 poor households and patriarchs in Trung Ly Commune, Muong Lat District, on January 17, to mark the upcoming Tet (lunar New Year) festival.

Gifts were also presented to 50 women living in difficult circumstances, and 30 poor families in the locality.

A working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee recently visited and presented 100 gift packages to poor households in the districts of Hoang Hoa and Hau Lau.

On the occasion, the provincial People’s Committee paid pre-Tet visit to Vietnamese heroic mothers Le Thi Quyen and Phan Thi Dung, as well as several businesses operating in the Nghi Son Economic Zone and border posts in the locality.

Youth union of Binh Phuoc Province has hosted a wide range of voluntary activities to bring a warm and happy Tet festival to poor people in the three border districts of Loc Ninh, Bu Dop and Bu Gia Map.

100 gifts worth VND500,000 each were delivered to disadvantaged households and 110 scholarships worth VND300,000 each were presented to poor students in the three localities.

With Tet festival drawing near, the Fatherland Front Committee of Go Quao District, Kien Giang Province, funded more than VND500 million towards the repair and upgrade of 14 social houses of poor families in the area.
