Southeastern region promotes linkage to facilitate tourism

Provinces and cities in the Southeastern region held a conference in the Binh Phuoc Province on November 30, reviewing the implementation of the agreement, association and cooperation on tourism development, in the Southeastern region during the 2020-2025 period.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet, among the seven tourist regions of Vietnam, the Southeastern region is a dynamic economic development region, where diverse tourism resources are converged with the advantage of forests, sea, river, lake and a system of cultural and historical relics and craft villages, to develop many types of tourism products.

The provinces have also organised tourism promotion activities through events, and cultural weeks on tourism, and at the same time, promote tourism on media channels and deploy smart tourism projects throughout the region.

The southwestern region comprises Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. Meanwhile, the southern key economic region consists of Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Long An and Tien Giang.
