Previously, the TTB sent a delegation of 46 representatives from 23 units to Vietnam for participation in the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2018 in Hanoi from March 29 to April 1, 2018.

In recent years, the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Taiwan has skyrocketed. In 2017, the growth rate of Vietnamese visitors to Taiwan reached 94.94%, the highest level among Southeast Asian countries in terms of tourism growth.

Representatives of TTB introduced Taiwanese tourism resources with many attractive destinations such as Mount Alishan, Sun Moon Lake, Qingshui Cliff, and the National Palace Museum; as well as specialties of Taiwanese cuisine and culture to travel agents in Vietnam.

According to Tony Wu, head of the TTB in Bangkok, Taiwanese travel agencies will commit to ensuring and enhancing the quality and diversification of tourism products while creating the most favourable conditions in terms of visa approval for Vietnamese visitors to explore the beauty of this island.
