Tet gifts presented to soldiers in Bach Long Vi island district

A delegation of the High Command of the Navy Region 1 visited and presented Tet gifts to officials and soldiers in Bach Long Vi island district, in the northern coastal city of Hai Phong, on January 26.

The mission also included 12 reporters from press agencies around the country.

During their trip, they offered incense at the local Monument to Heroic Martyrs as well as visiting and encouraging officials and soldiers at numerous agencies, including the district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front, Border Guard Station, Coast Guard Station and management board of Bach Long Vi port and dock area.

The mission also inspected the training in preparation for combat readiness at the 490 Station and Technical Reconnaissance Station.

Rear Admiral Tran Ngoc Quyet, Commissar of the High Command of the Navy Region 1, extended his Tet greetings to the officials and soldiers in Bach Long Vi island district and hoped that they would continue to make greater efforts in order to fulfill their assigned tasks, thus protecting the country’s sovereignty over the seas and islands.

On the occasion, the mission visited and presented gifts to the family of Nguyen Van Nghia from Station 490 who is living in difficult circumstances but managed to produce outstanding achievements in 2017.

As planned, the mission will continue to visit and inspect the combat readiness of the units under the Navy Region 1 in Cat Ba island district in Hai Phong city.

The mission offered incense and laid wreaths at the local Monument to Heroic Martyrs.
