The information was announced at a conference reviewing the programme, held by the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee, on February 24.
The ‘Tet Nhan ai’ programme was held in 2023, based on promoting the movement of ‘Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims”, launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society in 1999.
The Vietnam Red Cross Society at all levels conducted various forms of assistance to the poor, including gift giving, financial support, the organisation of trade fairs, cultural exchange activities, Tet celebrations, and others.
Speaking at the conference, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee Bui Thi Hoa, affirmed that the ‘Tet Nhan ai’ programme made its mark, contributing to spreading the spirit of kindness, and the tradition of compassion and creating a happy atmosphere for the beneficiaries.
The Vietnam Red Cross Society is expected to organise the ‘Tet Nhan ai’ 2024 programme in 20 provinces across the country in 2024 and attract more support from benefactors, Hoa noted.
