Established in 1960 from a grassroots youth initiative known as the "small plan movement", the modest Tien Phong Plastic factory on the banks of the Cam River initially produced simple toys and school supplies for children.
Today, Tien Phong Plastic has undergone a strong transformation, investing synchronously in advanced machinery and technology systems to become one of the leading brands in the production and business of plastic pipes and fittings in Viet Nam.

Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee, affirmed the city believes that Tien Phong Plastic will continue to maintain its position as a key enterprise in the industrial sector, and remain a close partner in many areas, particularly education. This includes the Tien Phong Education Complex Project following an international model, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
With the target of reaching a total system-wide revenue of 10,000 billion VND by 2030 and becoming a billion-dollar Vietnamese brand by 2045, Tien Phong Plastic is actively promoting research and development of new product lines. The company leads market demand orientation, introducing numerous products manufactured for the first time in Viet Nam. These include the ISO 3633 drainage system, electrofusion fittings, double-walled corrugated PP pipes, and CPVC pipes and fittings – modern, safe solutions for fire protection systems in high-rise buildings, shopping centres, and industrial zones.
Beyond pioneering technology and products, Tien Phong Plastic is also at the forefront of social responsibility. Over the past 65 years, the company has implemented numerous meaningful welfare programmes such as “Bridges of Love”, building rural bridges, awarding scholarships to underprivileged students, and supporting national and local “For the Poor” funds.
On this occasion, Mr Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, presented the First-Class Independence Order to Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company. This prestigious award recognises the company’s outstanding achievements in the cause of national construction and development.
