The festival aims to stimulate tourism demand in Na Hang district and Tuyen Quang province, in the locality’s effort to safely and flexibly adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, a similar White Pearl Flower Festival kicked off in Quang Ho Thau commune, Si Ma Cai district, Lao Cai province on March 5.

During the first-ever festival, which runs until March 15, visitors can go camping in the middle of the white blooming pear flower-covered hills, while experiencing the culture and cuisine of the northern mountainous locality.

An exhibition introducing H’mong specialties, traditional labour tools, musical instruments and costumes, as well as exciting sporting activities, including wooden horse racing are also scheduled within the festival.
