The two bells are 4.5 meters high. Their weight is estimated at thousands of kilos.
When the bells are struck they make a sound like thunder that can be heard from hundreds of miles away.
On the bell, a poem in Chinese script can be seen praising the beauty of Thach Lam district. It was said that the poem was inscribed in the year of 1611, the year of Tan Hoi, Can Thong in the XV century.
Da Quan Pagoda is known as Vien Minh Pagoda, under the Mac Dynasty (1611), as part of the historical relic site of Da Quan Pagoda-Quan Trieu Temple.
