Organised on a large scale, the festival combines hot air balloon shows, music, and modern technology, promising impressive experiences for visitors while opening new directions for the province’s cultural and tourism events.
The highlight will be the display of 20 colourful hot air balloons, including three large-sized balloons (level-7 tethered flight), 12 medium balloons (level-1 tethered flight), and five grounded decorative balloons.
All will be arranged at Lam Vien Square, regarded as the “heart” of the flower city. Dozens of giant balloons simultaneously lighting up the sky at dawn and dusk promise to create a breathtaking scene, becoming an attractive check-in spot for tourists.
Alongside the balloon performances, a special art programme titled “The Sunrise Legacy” will be held at the Da Lat Opera House — a modern, sophisticated venue equipped with international-standard sound and lighting systems.
During the festival, side activities such as outdoor art exhibitions, street performances, and balloon check-in spaces will also be organised, providing a lively vibe for visitors.
According to the organisers, the Lam Dong Hot Air Balloon and Arts Festival 2025 is positioned not only as an entertainment event but also as a mission to promote tourism and affirm the province’s cultural brand.
The organisers noted that preparations are being carefully implemented, from media promotion to flight safety, security, and traffic management plans.
The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, thereby stimulating tourism, increasing length of stay and visitor spending in Da Lat, and laying the foundation for Lam Dong to build its brand as a “festival city”.
