The event attracted great interest and participation from the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Japan, as well as Japanese people who love Vietnamese culture.

On behalf of the organising committee, Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Viet Nam in Osaka, emphasised that the event was not only a cultural festival of the Vietnamese community in Japan but also a vivid symbol of the unity and solidarity among overseas Vietnamese toward their homeland. Through diverse and meaningful exchange activities, the festival contributed to strengthening solidarity among overseas Vietnamese while serving as a bridge of friendship that promotes trust, mutual understanding, and long-term cooperation between Viet Nam and Japan.

According to Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha, as Viet Nam enters a new stage of development following the 14th National Party Congress, people-to-people diplomacy and cultural exchange activities such as the Viet Nam Festival in Osaka carry particular significance. These activities not only concretise Viet Nam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and diversification and multilateralisation of international relations, but also highlight the increasingly important role and status of the overseas Vietnamese community in promoting the country’s image, spreading cultural values, and enhancing Viet Nam’s soft power on the international stage.

This year’s festival also received attention and congratulatory messages from many local leaders in the Kansai region. In addition to art performances, the festival featured food stalls introducing traditional Vietnamese dishes, bringing the flavours of the homeland to the overseas Vietnamese while offering new culinary experiences to Japanese visitors. Meanwhile, exhibition spaces showcasing products and services of Vietnamese enterprises helped promote brands and foster bilateral trade and investment.
