Viettel’s simulator is designed as a fully-fledged ship-bridge in a digital environment, realistically reproducing all vessel operations and responses during navigation.

Trainees can practise handling ships under complex conditions such as adverse weather, strong currents, limited visibility, and emergency scenarios that are difficult or impossible to recreate on real vessels.

Thanks to its high level of realism and comprehensive simulation capability, Viettel’s system has passed all assessment levels set by DNV, and has been rated Class A – the highest of the five levels under the DNV-ST-0033 standard.

This places Viet Nam among the few Asian countries with the capability to research and develop independently a certified ship-bridge simulator, alongside China, India, Singapore, Japan, and Turkey.

Viettel’s system meets all technical requirements, having been evaluated directly by DNV experts through more than 120 measurements and 56 technical indicators across three main categories: physical realism, operating environment, and behavioural realism.

According to VHT, reports by Market.us and Mordor Intelligence indicate that the global simulation market is forecast to reach 6–7 billion USD in the 2030-2033 period, with the fastest growth seen in the Asia-Pacific region.

In both the Vietnamese and international markets, demand for simulation training continues to rise due to stricter global standards for seafarer training and certification, as well as the expansion of commercial fleets as well.
