To implement the national digital transformation strategy, the MONRE has been working on a land database for all of the country’s 63 provinces and centrally-governed cities.

By the end of 2022, the database has covered 307 out of 705 districts and has been connected with the population database for 56 out of 63 provinces and cities.

Notably, the national population database has received 14,620 queries of verification through the platform integrated and connected with MONRE’s database.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Public Security To Lam stated that linking the two databases will facilitate more effective state management on land and serve the people and enterprises better in this field.

He added that the connection will make database management smarter, more transparent and more comprehensive to support the development of the digital economy and digital transformation in the coming time.

Under a cooperation programme between the two ministries, the two sides will share information and provide documents related to ensuring security and order for natural resources and environmental management.

The two ministries will also work together to combat violations of law in the field of natural resources and the environment.
