The census will survey three categories: the state of agricultural, forestry, and fishery production; the state of rural areas; and information on rural residents.

In the first category, the information to be collected includes the number of production units, the number of workers and their structure, the working time, the production size, the production capacity, the implementation of modernisation and application of science and technology.

The census will also seek to learn about the impacts of agriculture on the environment, the impacts of climate change and rising sea levels and the role of women in agriculture.

Concerning the state of rural areas, the census will survey changes in rural socio-economic infrastructure, forms of rural economic facilitation, rural environment and hygiene, cooperative groups and trade villages, and the working conditions of local governments.

For information on rural residents, the census will look at farming households’ access to credit, vocational training for workers in rural areas, the use of electricity and clean water among rural residents, and healthcare for rural residents.

The census will be conducted over a period of 30 days, from July 1 to 30, 2025.

The preliminary results are scheduled for December 2025, while the official results will be announced in March 2026.
