The annual activity is aimed at preserving the traditional features of the cultural and spiritual life of the Vietnamese community in France.

The great festival on Vu Lan filial piety is an opportunity for Buddhists to express their gratitude towards their parents and for international friends to learn more about the traditions of theVietnamese people.

The construction of Truc Lam Zen Monastery began in 1976 and was completed in 1990. It not only is a place of spiritual and cultural activities for many Vietnamese people living in France but also contributes to enhancing solidarity among the Vietnamese community.

Vu Lan Festival has become a cultural activity of the Vietnamese community that takes place in the 7th lunar month every year.
