Tuyet Dung doubled their advantage nine minutes into the second half before Minh Nguyet and Huynh Nhu scored two additional goals to wrap up an overwhelming semi-finals victory for Vietnam.
This is Vietnam’s third victory in a row at this year’s SEA Games, following their 7-0 triumph over the Philippines and 1-0 win over hosts Myanmar in the group-stage qualification.
In the other semi-final match, the Thai goalkeeper produced an excellent showing to help her team beat hosts Myanmar 9-8 in a tense penalty shoot-out to join Vietnam in tomorrow’s final.
