A tour of Vinamilk’s largest mega dairy factory left a lasting impression on the members of the senior health club in Ho Chi Minh City.
The tour group learns about Vinamilk’s 13 modern factories from north to south, including the mega dairy factory in Binh Duong, which has a production capacity of over 800 million litres per year.

For over 40 years, from the iconic ‘Ong Tho’ condensed milk to today’s fresh milk and Vinamilk Sure Prevent Gold milk powder, Vinamilk has been a household name among senior consumers. It has become a staple, accompanying families across generations.

However, this was the first time seniors from the District 1 Senior Citizens Club in Ho Chi Minh City got to see and experience one of the most modern and enormous dairy factories today.

They observe the giant storage tanks, a hallmark of the Mega Factory. Each tank has a capacity of up to 150 m³, ensuring the raw milk is kept at a stable temperature for quality preservation before moving into the production line.

Through viewing windows, the group observe various stages of processing, filling, and packaging, which occur in fully enclosed areas to minimise human intervention and ensure quality and food safety. Robots and automated machinery handle every stage.

Visitors are amazed to learn about the factory’s advanced packaging line, which can produce seven cartons of milk in the blink of an eye (1 second). Tran Thi Le from Ho Chi Minh City, who has been a Vinamilk customer for over 40 years, shared her thoughts: “Stepping in here, I am really impressed by the factory’s size and modernity. Everything is enclosed and automated, with machines doing all the work. Seeing the production process firsthand, I feel it was absolutely the right decision for my family to remain loyal to Vinamilk all these years.”

The group spends a long time observing the intelligent warehouse, a 17-level storage facility with a capacity of nearly 30,000 storage units, operated by just one staff member through a central control system. They marvel at the synchronised movement of the sliding rails, smoothly moving goods in and out according to preset programming.

Sharing her experience, Nguyen Thi Thanh said: “My family has used Vinamilk products for decades. I always dreamed of seeing the largest dairy factory in Vietnam. Today, not only was my wish fulfilled, but I also deeply admire Vinamilk’s dedication to producing such sophisticated products.”

The elderly demographic is a key customer segment for Vinamilk, inspiring them to develop products tailored to their specific needs. Among these are Vinamilk Sure Prevent Gold milk powder, a “companion” for senior health, providing essential nutrients, and Vinamilk Sure Diecerna milk powder, designed for diabetic individuals with special dietary needs.

As part of its ongoing commitment to senior care, Vinamilk is partnering with 15 hospitals across the country in 2024 to support the health of over 37,000 seniors throughout Vietnam. Recently, in honour of International Day of Older Persons on October 1, Vinamilk donated 200 million nutritional products to the Elderly Association of Ninh Binh Province to help those affected by Typhoon Yagi.
