The event brought together more than 150 delegates from ministries, sectors, localities and international organisations in Vietnam, as well as businesses, experts and scientists from research institutes, universities, and associations.

Delegates at the workshop discussed the outcomes and limitations in the implementation of PPP in economic and social infrastructure in Vietnam and proposed solutions to remove the existing obstacles.

They also participated in in-depth roundtable discussions on two topic solutions to promote PPP in the development of some social fields and providing public non-business services; and solutions to promote PPP in the fields of transport, energy, waste treatment, wastewater, and water supply.

Addressing the event, Do Ngoc An, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission hailed that, opinions at the workshop identified a clearer and more realistic picture of the initial results in the implementation of PPP investment in Vietnam over recent years.

The exchanges also helped open up and clarify the current issues facing the building of an investment attraction environment, in the form of a reliable and sustainable PPP landscape, he added.
