The Deputy PM described this as a practical and timely act, rich in social responsibility, reflecting the spirit of enterprise solidarity with the community, especially at a time when people are enduring substantial losses.
He urged relevant authorities to coordinate closely so that the allocation of support funds is transparent, reaches the correct beneficiaries, and helps people stabilise their lives as soon as possible.
According to a report from the People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province, total damages across the province are estimated at over 5 trillion VND (189.8 million USD) — the highest in recent years. The typhoon caused two fatalities, many injuries, tens of thousands of houses had their roofs ripped off or collapsed, the electricity and water supply systems were disrupted, and transportation links were severed.
Agricultural production also suffered heavily, with tens of thousands of hectares of crops damaged and thousands of livestock and poultry swept away. Coastal fishermen were greatly affected; many boats were damaged and unable to go back to sea in the short term.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of Nutifood Le Nguyen Hoa stated: “We hope that Nutifood’s contribution will help relieve some of the burden on the local people, rebuild their livelihoods, and quickly return them to normal life.”
