Colonel Pham Van Tho, Political Commissar of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4, emphasised that protecting national sea and island sovereignty is a particularly important political task, and an order from the heart.

Echoing the same view, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huy Phung, Political Officer of Truong Sa Island, Brigade 146, stated that every Party resolution and every major policy is popularised to every officer and soldier on Truong Sa.
“We are fully aware of our responsibility of maintaining discipline and order, building comprehensively strong units, so that Truong Sa is always a firm mainstay at the head of the waves,” he stressed.

Corporal Pham Quoc Cong, a young soldier stationing on Nam Yet Island, confided that together with his comrades, Cong keeps updates information about the 14th Party National Congress with great faith and expectation.
“As the young generation, we vow to ceaselessly study, train, improve our skills and mettle, ready to undertake difficult and arduous tasks, firmly protecting every inch of island, every stretch of sea of the Fatherland,” Cong emphasised.
In addition to the military, Truong Sa today is also the common home of resilient people clinging to the islands, clinging to the sea, labouring, producing, and building lives amid the ocean.
Le Van Linh, a resident living on Da Tay Island, said: “We always place absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and the state. The 14th Party Congress is a great anticipation, so that the country continues to develop, seas and islands are expected to receive increasing support, so that people on Truong Sa can grow deeper attachment to the island for the long term.”
Along with the whole country, officers and soldiers on the DK1 platforms, Naval Region 2 have carried out practical activities celebrating the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, thus upholding their determination to excellently complete training tasks, combat readiness, firmly protecting the Fatherland's sea and island sovereignty.
The DK1 Party Committee and Battalion have launched emulation campaigns on the occasion the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Viet Nam National Assembly (1946-2026) and the 14th National Party Congress.
Party committees and commanders of the platforms also actively intensify communication and education on the leadership role of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the Party Congresses, and the important significance of the 14th National Party Congress, thus consolidating officers and soldiers’ firm and steadfast political mettle, solidarity, and combat readiness to fulfil assigned tasks.
Captain Tran Van Luc, Political Officer of DK1/10 platform shared: “We believe that the 14th National Party Congress will put forward many correct policies, guidelines, and decisions and select worthy delegates for the Party Central Committee for the coming term to lead the Party, the people, and propel the country to further development and prosperity in the new era.”

Meanwhile, at DK1/8 platform, Captain - Commander Nguyen Thanh Khiem, shared that the unit has built plans for combat readiness to protect the safety of the platform and the managed sea area, strengthen forces and means on duty, maintain observation to detect targets from afar, and accurately report to higher command posts as stipulated.
“We also organise drills of combat plans, handle situations well, are not to be taken by surprise, and are determined to firmly protect the assigned sea sovereignty,” he stated.
Having worked on many DK1 platforms, Captain Le Quang Trung, Gun Team Leader of DK1/14 platform, expressed his absolute trust in the Party's leadership and the national renewal cause.
He voiced his hope that after the congress, under the Party's leadership, the country will advance strongly in the new era, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilisation, and happiness, while steadily advancing towards socialism.

Sergeant Nguyen Pham Nhat Khuong, a young soldier on DK1/10 platform, excitedly said: “I am proud to be trained and nurtured in the military environment and working on the front line of the Fatherland.”
