This is the first time the Whole Military Television Festival has been held in Thai Nguyen Province - the "Resistance Capital", with many historical, cultural and military marks and relics, associated with the national history and traditions of the Vietnam People's Army.

The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a press conference in Hanoi, on July 22, to inform about the 14th Whole Military Television Festival 2024,

The festival takes place on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) the 35th anniversary of the All-People's National Defence Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024) and the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Whole Military Television Festival is an opportunity for the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to evaluate the quality of television activities of military units, in coordination with newspapers and stations nationwide.

This is an opportunity for television workers in the entire army to meet, exchange, and learn professional experience and journalism-television skills in the face of the development trend of modern television, as well as in response to the need to upgrade high-quality propaganda programmes on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. This includes military-defence activities, Party work, and political work associated with the three functions of the Vietnam People's Army, at the same time, further spreading the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era, on central, regional and local television stations, as well as on social networking platforms.

The organising board received 419 works participating in the festival in four genres: 211 reports, 63 documentaries, 24 educational programs, and 121 categories, produced by 136 units, sent from the entire army to attend the festival.

Festival's prize structure: Gold prize: 10-15%, silver prize: 20-25%, Certificate of merit for authors with good works: 35%.

Within the framework of this festival, some activities, such as, a Professional seminar, with the theme "Innovating and improving the quality of All-People's National Defence, For Sovereignty and Border Security", an Exhibition of photos of press activities throughout the army, and a Television Engineering and Technology Exhibition, with the participation of six companies, will be organised.

The above activities will help participating delegates have the opportunity to discuss and share more deeply about professional experiences, as well as access to new television technology techniques today.
