Winners of 41st National Television Festival honoured

Thirty-six gold prizes, 67 silver prizes, and 139 consolation prizes, along with two gold prizes for outstanding individuals, were presented at the awards ceremony of the 41st National Television Festival which took place in Hai Phong City on March 18.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; and members of the Party Central Committee: Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications; Le Ngoc Quang, General Director of the national TV broadcaster VTV and Chairman of the 41st National Television Festival; Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee; Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Ngo Dong Hai, Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee; and representatives of leaders of ministries and central agencies in Hai Phong City.

Le Ngoc Quang, General Director of the national TV broadcaster VTV, Chairman of the 41st National Television Festival, said that 714 works in 11 categories from 96 units have closely followed the mainstream of the nation. They clearly show the roles, responsibilities, and missions of broadcasters for the development of the country and meeting the information and entertainment needs of the public.

In particular, the works that won the gold prizes recognised the creative efforts of radio and television stations in the provinces of Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Soc Trang, Hau Giang, and Bac Lieu.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha congratulated Vietnam Television Station, television stations of provinces and cities across the country, television production units and Hai Phong City for successfully organising this important event after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Deputy PM requested that, in the face of the strong development of science and technology, the fast movement of the world, as well as the innovative and dynamic development practices of the country, broadcasters must promote more the spirit of innovation, creativity and integration to affirm their position, meet the development requirements of the country and the increasing tastes of the audience.

He affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to investment, encouraging social resources, developing television into a modern industry, and integrating on a par with advanced countries in the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that, with maturity and stability in political bravery, ethical qualities and professional qualifications, the television industry will always stick to the breath of life and make the most of new materials and technologies to have high quality products meeting the increasingly diverse needs of audiences.
