National Television Festival 2023 opens in Hai Phong

The 41st edition of the National Television Festival opened on March 15 in the port city of Hai Phong.

According to Hai Phong Chairman Nguyen Van Tung, this year’s National Television Festival is an occasion for Hai Phong to welcome television journalists from throughout the country and communicate about the city’s development.

Le Ngoc Quang, General Director of the national TV broadcaster VTV, affirmed that the National Television Festival has long been a festival of television journalists nationwide.

He added that the 2023 edition features many new innovations to honour television works on both traditional and digital platforms. It also marks the return of the short reportage category – which is a strength of television stations across Vietnam.

The festival is a great opportunity to share work experience and learn new ideas in the field of television.

This year, the festival has received the largest number of participating works to date, with 714 entries across 11 categories.

The closing and awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 18 and will be broadcast live on VTV as well as several local television stations and social media platforms.
