Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Que Dinh Nguyen said this year’s tournament came to a successful conclusion after six days of competition.
The event attracted the participation of nearly 170 athletes from 16 teams nationwide to compete across seven categories, including outstanding athletes with high achievements at the 31st SEA Games and the Southeast Asian Table Tennis Championships.
The Ha Noi 1 team and the Ho Chi Minh City team grabbed the gold medals in the men’s and women’s group categories, respectively.
Dinh Anh Hoang-Le Dinh Duc of the Hanoi team won the men’s doubles title while Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh-Nguyen Bach Thanh Thu of the Ho Chi Minh City team seized the women’s doubles title.
Regarding the mixed-doubles event, Ta Hong Khanh and Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh from Hanoi T&T and Ho Chi Minh City team were crowned champions.
The most promising young male athlete title was presented to Bui Huu Huy of the Long Hai-Hai Duong team while the most promising young female athlete title went to Nguyen Hanh Ngan of the Hanoi team.
The title of Miss 40th Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championships belongs to 19-year-old Phan Khoi Quyen of the Vinh Long team.
