Binh Duong begins construction of Ho Chi Minh City Belt Road 3

The People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City Belt Road 3’s section running through Binh Duong Province on June 29.

The Ho Chi Minh City Belt Road 3 has a length of over 76km, passing through four localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An.

The Belt Road 3 project is divided into eight sub-projects with a total investment capital of 75.37 trillion VND (3.1 billion USD).

The section running through Binh Duong Province has a length of 26.6km, beginning from the Tan Van intersection and ending at Binh Goi Bridge. The section will have four lanes, with a total investment of over 19.2 trillion VND (814.5 million USD).

This section is expected to be completed in 2025 and put into operation in 2026.

Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee Mai Hung Dung said, that Ho Chi Minh City Belt Road 3 is an important national project with high technical requirements and large investment, which is given priority to soon get disbursement. He asked relevant agencies to ensure the progress and quality of the project and begin construction of other items of the project in September of this year.
