Most businesses are proactively preparing logistics for those working during Tet, such as preparing Tet gift distributions for workers and their families, and supporting transportation costs for employees traveling home for the holiday.

Factories are bustling with working atmosphere

In the final days of the lunar year, the fertiliser production plant of Vinachem DAP Joint Stock Company in Dinh Vu Industrial Park Hai Phong City is filled with a vibrant production atmosphere. Nguyen Ngoc Son, the company's Deputy General Director, stated that the company is ramping up production to ensure a supply of 20,000 tonnes of fertiliser per month to provide farmers in the Mekong Delta for their upcoming planting season.

He stated that the plant aims to achieve a profit of 200 billion VND as planned.

In early September 2024, Typhoon Yagi severely impacted the production and business activities of companies in Hai Phong. However, with efforts to overcome difficulties, the business community has restored production and quickly regained growth momentum, contributing to a growth rate of over 11% in Hai Phong's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2024, with industrial production indices increasing by as much as 15%.

In industrial zones across Bac Giang Province, these days also mark a peak production period to fulfil orders from businesses, especially foreign direct investment (FDI) companies.

Additionally, the company is committed to paying January 2025 salaries on time by the 15th.

Despite being affected by the overall economic difficulties, enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City are still striving to improve technology, and cut costs to ensure revenue while maintaining production and business operations, as well as ensuring salaries and Tet bonuses for workers.

At Saigon Food Joint Stock Company in Vinh Loc Industrial Park, Binh Chanh District, the working atmosphere on production lines is becoming vibrant.

Tran Thi Kieu Oanh, Human Resources Director of the company, noted that there has not been a single day without work, ensuring employment for nearly 2,000 staff members.

The company reported a 17% increase in export revenue in 2024, with total company revenue estimated to have risen by 15% compared to 2023.

Therefore, the Board of Directors and General Management have allocated a budget of 32 billion VND to caring for workers during Tet.

Hoang Ngoc Yen, Chairwoman of Nhị Bình Plastic Co., Ltd., shared that alongside the 13th-month salary bonus, the company will provide an additional month's salary as a reward.

With this favourable policy for employees and the signing of new export contracts in 2025, the company is confident that workers will return to work after a joyful and warm Tet holiday.

According to Le Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial Labour Federation, they are preparing 10,000 Tet gift packages for union members and disadvantaged workers.
